🌳 New Ordinance Update: Tree & Landscaping Maintenance in Wrightstown Township 🌳

The Wrightstown Township Board of Supervisors has adopted an amendment to Chapter 10, Health and Safety, of the Township Code. The Township has been spending a lot of money lately on removing trees that are not the responsibility of the Township when the property owners should be taking care of them.  It is important that property owners maintain their properties and keep roadways safe in the Township.

This updated ordinance helps ensure the safety, health, and accessibility of our public roads and spaces by addressing trees, branches, vines, shrubs, or other landscaping that may:
✅ Interfere with public safety or welfare
✅ Obstruct the use of public roads or property

Here’s what property owners should know:

  • Property owners are responsible for maintaining trees and landscaping on their property, so they don’t block or endanger public roads or rights-of-way.

  • If a tree or other vegetation becomes hazardous or obstructive, the Township will send a written notice requiring its removal within 30 days.

  • If not addressed, the Township may remove the obstruction and bill the property owner for the cost.

  • In urgent cases where a hazard exists, the Township may act immediately to ensure public safety.

Thank you for helping keep Wrightstown safe, beautiful, and accessible for everyone! 🌿
